Swiss and Himalayan

Wild Yak Expeditions began in 2014. Its founder is a Swiss Everest summiteer, and its treks and climbs run in Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet and the Alps. Its travellers read in English, French or German.

A site in three languages

We built the website on a WordPress theme of our own from March 2023, with every page in English, French and German. The design has moved from version 2.0 to 2.4 since.

Trip pages a traveller can decide on

Each trip page opens on its photographs, then the facts a traveller weighs first: country, days, difficulty, highest point, hours of walking a day and the season. The group departures and the price sit beside them.

Planning a trip in four steps

In January 2026 we redesigned the trip planner. A traveller chooses the activities, then the comfort, then gives their details and confirms. A block of answers to common questions and a WhatsApp contact came the same month.

Two sister brands

We built the site for Wild Yak Journeys on TravelBase, our travel site starter, from December 2025. For Wild Yak Gear we are moving the shop from Elementor to the WordPress block editor, which was under way in October 2026.
