A logo that looked like a neighbour’s

Nature Excursion’s logo was a mountain in a circle, with the name and PVT. LTD. below. Another Nepali trekking company used the same circle, navy mountains, green field and winding path. Its soft green measured 2.98 to 1 on white, under the 3 to 1 the accessibility guidelines ask of shapes.

Before and after: the old logo, a mountain in a circle above the name and PVT. LTD., beside the new one, the mountain and a green river land with the name on two lines to its right

What the founder asked for

On 4 October 2026 the founder set the direction:

  • Remove the circle and keep the mountain, with the white river and the green land
  • More contrast in the colours, and a green closer to the bright greens of large travel brands
  • Drop PVT. LTD., and put the name to the right of the mark
  • Shape the green land like a river’s land, narrow at its source and round at its end

Four candidates, then one

We set the name in six typefaces, refined ten versions and kept four. After comparing six more typefaces, Omnes Condensed Semi-bold won. The founder approved the logo the same day.

Four shortlisted logos, numbered 1 to 4: the new mark beside the name in condensed and wide typefaces, on one line or two, in small letters and in capitals

One sheet the whole team can use

The brand sheet holds the logo on white, dark and green, a mark for sizes under 24 pixels, one-colour versions and a profile picture. The near-black blue reads at 16.8 to 1 on white, and the leaf green at 6.93 to 1 on the blue.

The top of the brand sheet: the logo on white, near-black blue and leaf green, then the mark, one-colour versions and the profile picture, then the colours with their codes

On cloth, bags and paper

We drew the brand to scale for the people who make things. The set covers two T-shirts, a cap, a duffle bag, a down jacket for guides, a letterhead, business cards and a trek certificate. Each drawing gives the size and place of the logo, so a printer or tailor can work from it.

Four drawings: T-shirts in white, near-black blue and green; duffle bags in four colour sets; down jackets front and back; and two letterhead versions
Business cards in three versions: the logo on white, near-black blue or leaf green, with the founder's first name and role on the back; his surname and contact details are blurred here
