An IT firm with a mark worth keeping
SASTRA Network Solutions has built networks and data centres in Nepal since 2003. Its ribbon N was known to customers, but the wordmark beside it had dated. In January 2018 it asked us to renew the logo, not replace it.
Six options against the original
We redrew the ribbon and set the name in a bold italic, for movement. Before choosing, the company saw six versions side by side, each a small change to the weight and the line below.
A guide for every use
The guide sets the clear space, the smallest sizes, the two colours and the typeface, in English and Nepali. It shows what not to do as plainly as what to do, so staff and printers get it right without asking.
On everything the company prints
The same logo and colours run through the letterhead, envelopes, cards, ID cards, a leaflet, a three-fold brochure, a mug, a notebook, slides and an exhibition stall. All of it was ready by 19 March 2018, eleven weeks after we began.
Where it went
The new logo went onto the company's print and its stall. Its website, built by another team, kept the old logo.
